Popular Yoruba actress, Iyabo Ojo has come down heavily on fellow actor, Yomi Fagbiyi for criticizing her for not defending a fellow colleague, Baba Ijesha who has been accused of pedophile of a 14 years old girl.
Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi yesterday, joined the list of celebrities who have openly reacted to Baba Ijesha’s rape allegation. Baba Ijesha was arrested by the police recently for allegedly defiling a minor. It was earlier reported that the Yoruba actor was caught on camera defiling a 14-year-old girl and that he had been committing the crime since the girl was 7-years-old.

Fabiyi, who used the opportunity to ‘shade’ some of his colleagues and advised them to proceed with sense and caution; he made the statement with respect to some of his colleagues who according to him, came out publicly to cast aspersions on a fallen man because they believe nobody can do anything to them. The actor continued by saying that he does not support evil or crime against women and children, but he will always use his sense and conscience in every matter.
Speaking further on the issue, the popular filmmaker said that everyone should face the bigger picture, which is the mental health of the minor involved and her guardians instead of engaging in needless drama of distraction.
Well, it seems this did not sit well with actress, Iyabo Ojo, who felt that Yomi directed his statement at her. This is because it was only Iyabo who had come out publicly yesterday to ask her fellow colleagues to stop defending Baba Ijesha over his defilement of a minor.
In her video yesterday, the actress addressed her colleagues who have been showing solidarity with the embattled actor, Baba Ijesha. She preferred to differ in her stance and reprimanded her colleagues and told them not to turn a blind eye towards devastating events.
Well, all hell was let loose today when Iyabo saw Fabiyi’s post and did another video to castigate Fabiyi directly this time for calling her out on social media.
She started out by asking him, “@Yomifabiyi, you dey mad ni? (Are you mad?)” She continued her tirade and asked him why he was calling her out. She said even if she disagreed with him with the way he was going with the Baba Ijesha case by asking their colleague in the industry not to join the public in rebuking Baba Ijesha in what he did, is that why he should cast shades at her?
In her outburst, she admonished him not to join hands with those that cover up for rapists’ because molestation of a minor is not child’s play. She insisted that she will never see something that is wrong and cover it up because she happens to be the person’s friend or even a family member.
Saddened by the whole rape scenario, Iyabo Ojo said the society should not normalize nefarious acts from s3xual predators; instead, they should condemn whoever is nabbed so that others will learn and stop rape against women and young girls.
