Denzel Washington shares how Chadwick Boseman’s wife loved and took care of him
Denzel Washington has opened up about how Chadwick Boseman’s wife used to love him. The Hollywood superstar shared that he used to watch how Taylor Simone Ledward used to take care of Chadwick.
The late Black Panther actor passed away at the age of 43 in August this year after a long battle with colon cancer. In a recent interview, Denzel recalled how Chadwick’s bae used to watch him with love in her eyes while they were shooting a Netflix movie titled Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
The Equalizer actor even revealed that he’s the one who encouraged Chadwick to tie the knot with Taylor. The couple reportedly got engaged in late 2019. “I used to watch how she took care of him and I actually said to him, I said, ‘Man, you need to put a ring on that finger.’ Because she kept her eye on him and she watched over him. I’m like, man she loves that guy. But I didn’t know what we know now,” Denzel told CBS, according to Eonline.
Denzel said he also did not know that Chadwick had been battling with colon cancer when they shot the movie. “Credit to him, he kept it to himself, it was nobody’s business. He was there to deliver and he delivered.” In Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Boseman played a trumpet player alongside Viola Davis. The movie is reportedly set to start streaming on Netflix on December 18. Chadwick’s fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his wife’s love for him.
