Tinubu, others free to campaign in South-East- Ohanaeze Ndigbo

Vondigest recalls that Igbo youths, under the auspices of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), on Wednesday, warned groups and individuals promoting the ambition of Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to steer clear of the zone.
While reacting to that threat, Ohanaeze Ndigbo stated that such is un-Igbo, adding that every presidential candidate is totally free to organise rallies and campaigns in the southeast region.
“We are aware of the fact that Igbo youths have been shortchanged by the way Federal Government, and it is an open secret that southeast has been at the receiving end of Federal Government’s policies and programs since 2015, but we appeal for a truce and allow peace to reign,” Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s statement reads in part.
“Ndigbo is open to receiving all presidential candidates for 2023. We will receive all of them unrestricted, and interface with them and take decisions before the elections.
“We will weigh all options in the eyes of being sidelined for seven years by the Federal Government.”
