Police arrest popular Facebook influencer, Ovaioza for investment fraud (Video, photos)
Vondigest reports that police have arrested a businesswomen, Ovaioza Yunusa who is popular on Facebook for swindling hundreds of Nigerians in alleged ponzi scheme/investment related fraud.
Already, operatives of the Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB) Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) said hundreds of victims that Ovaioza convinced with her fraudulent investing scam have been identified.
The alleged businesswoman, Imu Ovaioza Yunusa is verified on Facebook as an influencer. Through her ‘Ovaioza Group of Companies,’ popularly known for Ovaioza Farm Produce Storage Business (OFPSB) and Ovaioza Skills Acquisition Center (OSAC), a non-governmental organization up-skilling young Nigerians, persuaded myriads of people to invest millions into her buying and selling business but they have been scammed.
She’s popular for flaunting her business, expensive lifestyle and properties on social media, especially on Facebook and uses it to attract gullible Nigerians to invest in her fake business deals.
According to some of the victims, they were persuaded to invest after listening to ovaioza through her various social media handles and with her having numerous homebased and abroad high profile women as friends on Social media.
However, this online platform learnt that after investing their monies, they have neither received the promised interest nor got a refund of their capital Instead, Ovaioza, the Chief Executive Officer of OFPSB took them for granted by sending fake alerts to them and switched off her phones.
