Pastor Taiwo Odukoya Loses 2nd Wife,16 years after Bimbo’s death
Sad news reaching this online platform is that Taiwo Odukoya, senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church has lost his 2nd wife, Nomthi to cancer. This is 16 years after the death of his first wife, Late Bimbo Odukoya.
Vondigest understands that Odukoya announced her death in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday evening.
According to pastor Odukoya, his wife, Nomthi “battled cancer for the better part of two years.”
He wrote: “With deep regret and gratitude to God, we have to announce the passing of our Senior Pastor’s wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya. She battled cancer for the better part of 2 years. She stood on the Word of God and she fought.
“We loved her with all our heart, but who are we to fight with the will of God. The truth is, at one point in our lives, we all will have to say goodbye. So for now till we meet again in glory, Goodbye Pastor Nomthi.”
Late Pastor Nomthi had two boys for Pastor Taiwo in their 11 years of marriage,which was consummated in 2010, five years after the death of his lovely wife, Bimbo Odukoya who was a televangelist specializing in relationship counseling for singe and married.
A member of the Church, who pleaded anonymity, spoke to Vanguard saying Nomthi has not been involved in church activities for a while. May her soul rest in peace.”
Recall that Pastor Odukoya’s first wife, Pastor Bimbo, died on December 10, 2005, in the Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Bimbo survived the initial impact but later died from injuries on 11 December 2005. She was a prolific writer, popular televangelist, highly sought conference speaker, youth mentor and marriage counselor. Her impact is still felt all over the world even after her death.
