Owo Massacre: Catholic Church Fixes Friday For Victims’ Mass Burial
Vondigest reports that the Catholic Diocese of Ondo has fixed Friday for the mass burial of the victims killed in the terror attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State on June 5.
Forty people were killed by the terrorists in the attack while many others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The Director of Social Communication of the Diocese of Ondo, Rev. Fr. Augustine Ikwu, confirmed the development.
The mass burial, according to the director, will take place at a new cemetery on Emure Road in Owo.
The number of deceased worshippers still remain at 40, while the injured victims are still receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center and the St. Louis Catholic Church both in Owo as well as in other private hospitals in the state.
A week after the incident occurred, no one has been arrested in connection to the attack.
