Married woman went to spend a night with boyfriend but he butchered her- Ondo Police
Vondigest reports that the Ondo State Police Command has launched a manhunt for an alleged killer boyfriend who butchered his girlfriend who is a married woman with matchet after she went to spend the night in his newly rented apartment.
According to Punch Newspaper, the woman identified as Fuminlola Ogundare was attacked by her yet to be identified boyfriend in the Ijapo Area of Akure, Ondo State.
The spokesman of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr Funmilayo Odunlami, stated that the suspect used a matchet to butcher the woman at midnight after she visited his apartment to pass the night there and it took the intervention of the neighbours before she was rescued.
However, he managed to escape before the arrival of the police. Mr Funmilayo explained that the police are currently investigating the matter and the manhunt for the suspect is on.
Meanwhile, this online platform understands that the victim was taken to a nearby Police Clinic for treatment but because of the gravity of the injuries she sustained, she was referred to the University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital for proper management.
The wife of Governor Akeredelu has promised to pay the medical bills of the victim.
