Buhari Appoints new MD For Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (Photo)
Vondigest reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Aminu Umar-Sadiq as the new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).
This online platform gathered that the appointment of Umar-Sadiq follows the expiration of the tenure of Uche Orji, who completed his tenure on September 30, 2022, after serving two five-year terms following his appointment on October 2, 2012.
Yunusa Tanko Abdullahi, the Special Adviser on media and communications to the Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this in a statement made available to this newspaper on Monday night.
Aminu Umar-Sadiq, who is currently an Executive Director and Head of Infrastructure, has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford (Saint John’s College), Oxford, United Kingdom (UK).
He is Archbishop Tutu Leadership Fellow (ATLF) and also Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF).
Vondigest understands that he was part of the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, an investment fund focused on the actualisation of five strategic nationwide projects in the transportation and power sectors.
