Big Brother Nigeria 2020 Lockdown winner, Laycon, was recently made an ambassador for sickle cell in Nigeria. The reality show star became a poster boy for people with sickle cell after he revealed his genotype during the show.
He also sent a word out to people with sickle cell, telling them not to be intimidated and that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
In his words: “I plan to use my God-given platform to create more awareness about Sickle Cell Disorder in Nigeria and beyond. To everyone with sickle cell disorder, do not be intimidated. You can achieve your dreams once you put your minds to it. Never allow people define you.”
