Anambra: Soludo in early lead As Results From Local Governments trickle in
Early results trickling in from the ongoing Anambra election indicates preliminary victory to Professor Charles Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in six local government areas announced so far.
The party’s candidate, Charles Soludo, had earlier been reported to have won his polling unit and ward by a wide margin.
So far, Mr. Soludo has amassed the highest votes in Onitsha South, Awka South, Anaocha, Anambra East, Orumba South and Njikoka.
vondigest understands that Anambra State has 21 local government areas and collation is expected to continue today, Sunday. 18 candidates are contesting in the governorship election.
There’s no woman contesting in this election despite the fact that Anambra State is the only state in Nigeria that had a female governor.
