Governor Hope Uzodinma says Almajiris are Free to Stay in Imo State
…..Pays 8 Million Naira to Fulani Herdsmen
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has said that Almajiris coming from the northern part of the country are free to stay in Imo State.
He said they will be allowed to stay but will have to undergo the mandatory process of 14 days self-Isolation before being allowed into the state.
The Governor stated this when the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) paid him a courtesy visit at the Imo State Government House, Owerri.
Governor Uzodimma also stated that Governors who are rejecting and deporting Alamajiri from their State are going against the dream of achieving a united Nigeria.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma also said he had paid the sum of 8 million Naira to Fulani Herdsmen who lost their cows at Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State.
Governor Uzodimma stressed that Imo People are hospitable people and will do everything possible to make the State conducive for every Nigerian, irrespective of their religion or tribe.
Governor Uzodinma thanked Miyetti Allah for their support and prayers, while assuring them of that everyone in the State will be treated equally.
Alhaji Yakubu Bello, one of the leaders of the association, thanked Governor Uzodimma for making the state conducive for them to carry out their business activities. He also assured the Governor of their unflinching support.
