Yagazie Foundation organizes Valentine’s Day Children’s outreach in Aiyetoro Community with support from Kellogg’s Tolaram, other donors
Yagazie Foundation, a non for profit organization and her team visited the children, youths and mothers in Aiyetoro Community and distributed food packs, soft drinks, toiletries and gift items given to them by Kellogg’s Tolaram and other donors.
The children and mothers were happy as they expressed appreciation and confessed that they have not received such acts of charity for so many years. They pleaded for a repeat visit from the foundation as it will help a great deal in disconnecting them from poverty and hardship.
The outreach led by founder of Yagazie Foundation, Mr. Ezirim Kennedy and accompanied by the Health Director, Pharm. Adaeze Onuoha, Sheila Okeke, Mercy Ameh, Chinenye Ezeobi and Yusuf Misbau was indeed successful.
Yagazie Foundation team was assisted by a random woman they met during their previous visit in the community and she helped in getting the consent of the head of the Ghetto for a smooth charity operation in the area which is located by a dingy canal and densely populated by less privileged children and struggling families living in the slum.
Yagazie Foundation is working hard to alleviate poverty and help reconnect the children back to school through grassroots sports program and also engage their mothers in a vocational training, agricultural practice and small scale businesses. Yagazie Foundation solicits support of well-meaning Nigerians and institutions to be able to achieve this for the underprivileged people living in the slums across Nigeria.
