This is what applicants must pay for correction of NIN dates of birth-NIMC reveals
All applicants for the National Identification Number (NIN) would be required to pay N15, 000 to correct their dates of birth in the database of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). Punch reports that the NIMC’s regional coordinator, Funmi Opesanwo, stated this on Wednesday, January 6, at the commission’s office in the Alausa area of Lagos state.
NIN holders are also required to pay a processing fee of N5, 000 for card renewal or card replacement as well as an address modification fee of N500.
Noting that NIN enrolment is free, Opesanwo said there are fees attached to card renewal, correction of date of birth and change of address.
According to him, there are different services that the commission offers. The NIMC official noted that the fees are payable to the Treasury Single Account (TSA) of the federal government, adding that for correction of date of birth, it is N15,000 and it is payable to the TSA.
