Sinach Wins 2020 GMA Dove Award Song Of The Year With ‘Waymaker’
‘Waymaker’, a song by Osinachi Joseph, a Nigerian gospel songstress better known as Sinach, has been named the ‘Song of the Year’ at the 2020 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards.
GMA, which celebrates outstanding achievements in the Christian music industry, recently released the list of artistes who won in different categories of the 51st edition of its annual award event.
Among them is Sinach who toppled 12 other entries from global gospel singers to win the ‘Song of the Year’ prize.

“Congratulations to @sinach! Our Dove Awards Song of the Year is ‘Way Maker’! We love you! Thank you for making the long journey to be a part of this night!,” the GMA wrote on Twitter.
In reply, Sinach said: “Thank you @GMADoveAwards for the award and an incredible production! Jesus is Lord.”
Among other prominent singers who also won is Kanye West, a US rapper, who topped the ‘Award for Rap/Hip-hop Recorded Song of the Year’ category with ‘Follow God’, a song from his ninth studio album titled ‘Jesus Is King’
