Fans of BBNaija Demand For Return Of Old Voting System Following Kaisha’s Eviction
BBNaija fans on social media are not happy with the organisers of the Big Brother show. They are demanding for the return of the old voting system, where the viewers have sole right to keep a housemate in the house with their votes.
This comes after Kaisha was evicted from the house despite having a higher percentage of votes than three other housemates who appeared in the bottom four.
Many people are of the opinion that their votes don’t count since fellow housemates determine who leaves or stay in the Big Brother’s House.
Mixed reactions have trailed the recent BBNaija live eviction show which witnessed Kaisha’s exit from the reality show.
Currently trending at the number 4 spot on Twitter is the call for the return of the old voting system rather than continue with the current one as fans are displeased over the exit of Kaisha who had more votes than the other three.
In the old voting system, housemates nominated who they wanted to leave the house and fans voted to save nominated housemates. Whoever had the least number of votes was evicted.
However, the new style of eviction doesn’t just depend on the voters but the housemates as well. Fans vote to keep their housemates in the house. The fates of the bottom 4 (housemates with the least number of votes) are automatically put in the hands of their fellow housemates who then select 2 out of the bottom 4 they want to be evicted from the show.
Just like Lilo who had more votes than 3 other housemates in the bottom 4, Kaisha also had more votes than Trickytee, Wathoni and Neo (who had the least percentage of votes) but, she ended up leaving the show after housemates nominated her for eviction. This has got a lot of fans displeased as they believe BBNaija is robbing them of their money and also the right to save their favourite housemates since their votes no longer count.
Many have since spammed the comment section of the organizer’s social media accounts and even that of Ebuka, demanding that the old voting system be brought back.
