Meet Rukayat, The Young Muslim Lady That Discovered Girl With Blue Eyes
Lately everybody has been talking about beautiful Risiqot and her adorable children, Kaosarat and Hassanat who were sent away by her husband because of her blue eyes.
It was reported that the woman and her daughters were abandoned by their father because of the colour of their eyes. New transformation photos of the girl with her family have now made the rounds on social media and they have become the new wonder and everybody wants to associate with them. Even her husband that abandoned them is begging for reconciliation.
The transformation photos were done by Ace Photographer and her crew, Mofebamuyiwa of BMB Studios. She and her crew travelled all the way to Kwara State to the deplorable house of Risiqot, where she lives with her children after her husband abandoned them. She did a very good job of dressing them up with beautiful dresses and makeup and everyone has been gushing over them, exclaiming how beautiful they looked with their unique blue eyes.

She contacted them through her NGO called Ajike People Support Centre.
Good fortune indeed has landed on Risiqot and her family as they have gotten lots of support from well-meaning Nigerians both here and outside the country. A minister has also said he will give scholarship to the two girls to any level of education. Even international news outlets have carried their news and help is on the way to see that she and her children are well taken care of.
But the question on the mind of this writer is: who actually discovered this little girl and her family and decided it will be a good thing to showcase this little girl and her plight on social media for the world to see?
Well, her name is Alabi Rukayat Oyindamola. Rukayat is a young fashion designer who has big dreams of becoming a known designer in future. She has a fashion outfit called Roks Couture.
How Rukayat discovered the girl with blue eyes
According to her story which she posted on her social media platform, which was later carried by Instablog, Rukayat said she travelled to her hometown in Ilorin for ‘Ileya’ and met Kaosara, an 8 year-old with blue eyes. From further inquiries, she found out that she also has a younger sister, Hassant who equally has blue eyes and they were abandoned by their father because of their blue eyes.
Their plight really affected her so much that she visited her where they lived and also met their mother who also had the same blue eyes like her daughters. On listening to their story, she decided to put it up on her social media to tell the world about their plight.
This to me is a very noble gesture. A lot of young people use their social media to promote things that do not edify or be of help to other people but this young lady saw a need and decided to use her platform to do something good about it.
A lot of people may have also come across this pathetic family all this while and may have also seen them when they too travelled to their hometown for Illeya but how many thought it was important to highlight this family and what they were going through because of the colour of their eyes?
But Rukayat decided to make a difference by showcasing them to world. Today we are all celebrating the woman with the blue eyes and her daughters but wouldn’t it also be nice to appreciate this young lady, Rukayat also?
Rukayat is a fashion designer who would also need to be appreciated. Aside fashion designing, she’s into textile designs such as Tie and Dye, Adire and baby clothes as well. I believe we have a lot of international designers in this country that can take her under their wing and also make her dreams come through.
As we are extended our hands of love to the woman and her children with blue eyes, let us not also forget this young woman who brought them to limelight. She too deserves some accolades, don’t you think so.
She has dreams that she will like to be fulfilled and it will be great if she’s also spotlighted as a youth ambassador. She’s a young, working lady who should also benefit from this hype about this blue-eyed woman and her good family.
