Genevieve Nnaji makes first public appearance after being off social media in months (Video)
Vondigest reports that veteran Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji has staged a comeback after being off the social radar in months, deleting all her posts on her Instagram page.
The actress made her first public appearance in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on Saturday as a speaker at the 2022 edition of CANEX Weekend, discussing the importance of the film industry to development in Africa.
CANEX Weekend is a three-day gathering of creatives from across Africa and the diaspora.
Genevieve joined a list of more than 100 top speakers from Africa and the diaspora, representing a range of creative sectors.
Some of the other top creative names, experts, brands and thought leaders who are billed to speak at the event include the Nigerian trio of Bruce Onobrakpeya; Alex Okosi, Managing Director of EMEA Emerging Markets at YouTube and award-winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
This online platform recalls that months ago, speculations were rife that the actress suffered from some form of mental illness and was hospitalised, especially after she deleted pictures on her Instagram page and unfollowed everyone but that information lacked tangible proof since non of her close friends or family attested to that fact.
So it was a thing of joy to watch a video clip where the beautiful actress was giving a speech at an event that held in Abidjan.
She looked radiant and articulate as she stands at the podium to deliver her speech.
We hope to see more public appearances of this beautiful thespian in the near future.
